Welcome! Adam Magaluk is a seasoned software engineer and consultant with a rich history of pioneering projects in the Internet of Things (IoT) and beyond. I’ve spent the last 17 years in the technology industry from giants like Google to early startups building software that matters. I’m excited to bring my passion and expertise to your business.

My journey began in 2006 at Illuminating Concepts in Michigan, where I was integral in developing Intellistreets . This innovative project transformed ordinary streetlights into sophisticated, wireless mesh sensor platforms for municipal use, akin to a Sonos system for the streets.

After nearly a decade of advancing Intellistreets across the U.S., I joined Apigee in Detroit to co-develop Zetta , an API-first, Node.js-based IoT platform that simplified connecting devices. Although Zetta was phased out after Google’s acquisition of Apigee, my adventure continued at Google, where I shifted to work with the Waze team. Where I led a team to power all the Ads on Waze. While at Waze I was a member of the Office of the CTO responsible for setting technical direction and processes to the 100+ engineers.

In 2022, I joined the startup Viam as a Staff Engineer, reigniting my passion for IoT and robotics. I mentored a diverse team of engineers and collaborated closely with the CEO on critical projects, including enhancing user experiences and developing sophisticated authorization mechanisms for robotics and IoT applications.
